On February 27 – 28, 2018 Center for Emergency Situations and Disaster Risk Reduction in the city of Almaty together with the Office of UN for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR) holds CASC Regional technical workshop on the launch of the Sendai Framework Monitoring Process. The training participants are national coordinators of the Sendai Framework for 2015-2030, United Nations coordinators for DDR and partners from the Central Asian and South Caucasus region.
Project HIP-2017 implemented by the UNISDR in cooperation with CESDRR within DipECHO X, is directed to establishment and strengthening of the capacity for DDR and resilience building on local, national and regional levels.
On the seminar instructors from Bonn and Brussels offices of the UNISDR explained the main principles of data collection for monitoring, innovations introduced in data disaggregation, as well as the important dates and deadlines.
On March 1, of this year the tool of Sendai Framework Monitoring Process will accessible online and on March 31 initial data collection will be conducted on a global level. In October 2018 data assembled countries will be included in Global Analytical Report 2019.
