Center at the UN ESCAP expert meeting

On October 24-25, 2019, in Almaty, a Head of Department of the Center took part in an expert meeting organized by UN ESCAP titled “Considering the transboundary aspects of the 2030 Agenda through Regional Economic Cooperation and Integration in the Asian and Pacific Region”.

At the meeting, participants of Kazakhstani stakeholders discussed a project aimed at capacity building of Kazakhstan and other target countries to develop a sustainable and comprehensive policy and mechanisms for cross-border infrastructure connectivity. The project examined intersectoral aspects and the possible expansion of infrastructure sectors, with particular emphasis on social inclusion, disaster resilience and sustainable financing. The project is designed for 4 years.
