The delegation of the World Bank and the Center visited Nur-Sultan city

On January 30-31, 2020, a joint delegation of the World Bank and the Center for Emergency Situations and Disaster Risk Reduction visited Nur-Sultan to discuss potential cooperation in financial sustainability and disaster risk reduction under the European Union-funded program “Strengthening Financial Resilience and Accelerating Risk Reduction in Central Asia” (SFRARR Program).

During the visit, the delegation met with representatives of the Ministries of National Economy, Finance and the Committee for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the meetings, the participants discussed the possibilities for the World Bank to provide technical assistance within the framework of the SFRARR Program, as well as current issues of the practical implementation of the Program at the national and regional levels.
