On 3 march 2020 the deputy director of the Center for emergency situations and disaster risk reduction Mr. Marat Khassenov conducted a skype conversation with Mr. A. Kudinov, the deputy Secretary-General of International civil defense organization.
During the conversation the results of the work of the Center and ICDO in 2019 were summarized and discussed about perspective directions of bilateral cooperation development.
Eventually, an agreement for capacity building of emergency authorities
of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan in 2020 by implementing following activities was achieved:
- In May is planned to conduct weekly training for psychologists of the Ministry for emergency situations of the Kyrgyz Republic on innovative methods of emergency psychological assistance, psychological regulation and self regulation with engaging of trainers from the Center of emergency psychological assistance of the Ministry for emergency situations of Russia;
- In June is planned to arrange and conduct 2-weekly training for preparing of specialists of diving services of the Committee for emergency situations of the Ministry of internal affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan on base of modern multifunctional diving-rescue stations of the city Priozersk (Kazakhstan) by engaging of ICDO experts as trainers.
Also, the issues of the Center’s submission of proposals for improving and using geographic information systems, which was developed and applied by ICDO were discussed.
The parties expressed their readiness to begin the practical implementation of all the achieved agreements.
