Advanced training on the use of UAVs for emergency tasks completed

In the period from May 14 to May 18, 2023 on the basis of the training ground "Rock City - Astana", as part of the first stage of the international drills "Kazkutkaru - 2023", the Center successfully conducted an advanced training on the use of unmanned aviation for emergency management with the technical and financial support of the ICDO.

The trainers of the ICDO and CESDRR conducted theoretical and practical classes, focusing on post-flight data processing, preparing an orthophoto map of the terrain and a 3D terrain model, as well as performing calculations, measurements, and using the data obtained in other software.

In addition to the theoretical and practical part of the training, competitions were held among the participants of the training in three disciplines: "Passing a track with obstacles in the minimum time", "Delivery of a small cargo to the victim" and "Night rescue operation".

According to the results of the competition, the third place was taken by a team consisting of officers of the Department for Emergency Situations of Akmola and North Kazakhstan regions.

Second place - a team consisting of representatives of the Department for Emergency Situations of Almaty, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic and the CoES of the Republic of Tajikistan.

And the winner of the competition was a team consisting of employees of the Department for Emergency Situations of the Aktobe region and the Republican Operational Rescue Squad.

According to the results of the advanced training, 51 operators of unmanned aerial vehicles from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan were awarded international certificates, while two trainers of the Center were awarded certificates of the International Civil Defense Organization "Professional Trainer of the training course" Use of UAVs for emergency management"".

The training course "Application of unmanned aviation for emergency management" (venue - Kazakhstan) is certified by the ICDO.
