Ambassador Bakyt Dzhusupov Visited the Center on a Working Visit

On March 30, 2026, the OSCE Co-ordinator of Economic and Environmental Activities, Ambassador Bakyt Dzhusupov, visited the Center as part of a working visit to familiarize himself with its activities. Mr. Nuraddin Murshudlu, Head of the Economic and Environmental Affairs Department of the OSCE Programme Office in Astana, also took part in the meeting.

Director of the Center Dzhergalbek Ukashev presented Ambassador Bakyt Dzhusupov with the Center’s key initiatives and main areas of work. Special attention was given to the introduction of innovative information and communication systems into climate change adaptation and disaster risk management processes. Mr. Ukashev also spoke about regional disaster risk reduction projects being implemented jointly with partners.

In turn, Ambassador Bakyt Dzhusupov outlined the main areas of the OSCE’s work and highly commended the priority areas developed by the Center.

The parties reaffirmed their intention to further strengthen cooperation and discussed potential areas of collaboration in disaster risk reduction in Central Asia, including in the field of early warning systems.
