Master training on the use of unmanned aviation for Central Asian countries launched

On September 12, 2024 at the “Rock City - Astana” training ground there was a solemn opening of the master training on application of unmanned aerial vehicles in emergency situations for representatives of CA countries with participation of the Head of the Department of Emergency Situations Management of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Colonel Z. Askarov.

The training is attended by 24 operators of unmanned aerial vehicles of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, Committee for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tajikistan and Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In his welcoming speech, the Director of the Center Mr. Aubakirov noted that “In recent years, the fleet of drones in the emergency agencies of Central Asia has increased significantly, and in this regard, there is a growing need for training of specialists of the agencies of the Central Asian countries on the management of drones”.

In addition, in parallel with the master training on the use of UAVs, the Republican Forum of Volunteers in Emergency Situations is held on the basis of the training ground of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.“Master training for drone operators and Volunteers Forum will be an excellent platform for gaining new knowledge, sharing experience, discussing ideas and developing cooperation in the field of disaster response and disaster risk reduction” - said Mr. Z. Askarov in his speech.

Within the master training, in addition to the theoretical part of the training, it is planned to hold competitions among the participants of the training in the following disciplines:

  • Passing the route with obstacles for the minimum time” (skill of maneuvering);
  • Search for victims in natural and man-made environment;
  • Delivery of small-size cargo to the victim;
  • Testing;
  • “Search on water”.
