Senators of Kazakhstan accepted the Center’s proposals

We’ll remind that in December 2023 according to the invitation of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the director of the Center, Mr. Serik Aubakirov spoke at the parliamentary hearings on improving the civil protection system. After the hearings all proposals from the Center were taken into account by the parliamentarians, including them into the Recommendations to the Government and the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This decision underlines Kazakhstan’s commitment to the UN Charter, including disaster risk reduction.

In this way, the Center has made another effort to align the national laws of Central Asian countries with the UN standards and glossary.
