The Center Participated in the First Meeting of the Scientific and Innovation Council of the State Institution “Kazselezashita”
On 10 December 2025, the Director of the Center, Mr. D. Ukashev, and Deputy Director, Mr. N. Bekbosynov, took part in the first meeting of the Scientific and Innovation Council of the State Institution “Kazselezashchita”.
The meeting was also attended by senior officials and experts of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of leading universities, design and research organizations, as well as international partners.
The session focused on defining priority areas for the strategic development of the national system for protection against mudflows, snow avalanches, and landslides. The key tasks outlined included:
- improving protection methods in light of contemporary challenges and climate change;
- introducing advanced digital technologies into sectoral operations;
- enhancing the effectiveness of monitoring and forecasting hazardous areas.
Participants identified sequential steps to advance intelligent monitoring systems, further digitalize processes, and integrate international standards into the institution’s activities.
A productive exchange of experience took place: representatives of various organizations presented their scientific and technical developments and put forward concrete proposals for joint initiatives aimed at strengthening public safety and protecting critical infrastructure in mountainous regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The decisions adopted during the meeting marked an important step in strengthening the scientific and innovation potential of “Kazselezashita” and in advancing the national system for protection against natural emergencies.
