The Center provided technical assistance in filming and online broadcasting of all stages of drills for headquarters of the International command post exercise “Zher-2021”

From 21 to 22 September 2021 in Almaty region in Training ground “Rocky city Astana” the International command post exercise “Zher - 2021” on the topic: “Preparation of steering units, forces and means of the State System for Civil Protection for disaster response, occurred as a result of devastating earthquake in Almaty region” was held in Almaty region.

The exercise was held under the guidance of the Minister for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yuriy Ilin, the event was attended by local authorities of all regions and republican cities, as well as Rescue Services of MES of the Kyrgyz Republic and Republic of Uzbekistan. The exercise was attended by the Deputy Minister for Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic Kalys Akhmatov and Deputy Commander of the Republican Rescue Center of MES of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shukhrat Azimov.

The main goals of the exercise were improvement of preparedness of the National System for Civil Protection for disaster response, occurred as a result of possible devastating earthquake in Almaty region, as well as enhancing interstate interaction in case of large scale disaster on the territories of  CIS countries.

In total, more than 15 000 officers and 1000 units of machinery were engaged in drills.

During the exercise the Center using UAV DJI Matrice 210 and sensors Zenmuse Z30 has filmed all stages of drills, as well as the Center’s officers made aerial photography of the training ground and developed orthophotoplane of the area.

In addition, the Center’s officers tested the possibilities of a thermal sensor Zenmuse XT2, and rescue experts highly appreciated it in terms of using it in rescue operations during the night period in mountain areas.
