The Center strengthens capacity in providing humanitarian assistance

On June 18, 2024, at the initiative of the UNICEF Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia, an introductory meeting was held at the Center with the NORCAP/CashCap employee for the provision of interagency humanitarian support in the coordination of humanitarian funds in the countries of Central Asia, Stephen Abaca. The meeting was also attended by IFRC Cash and Voucher Assistance Officer for Central Asia Olessya Zhuravleva and Emergency Specialist of the UNICEF Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia Tigran Tovmasyan.

Mr. Stephen Abaca and Ms. Olessya Zhuravleva shared information about the main strategic directions of the CashCap project, available methods of providing humanitarian assistance within the framework of the CashCap project and the benefits of providing cash and voucher humanitarian assistance to the affected population.

Director of the Center Mr. Serik Aubakirov presented brief information about the main areas of work of the Center.

Mr. Stephen Abaka expressed interest in regional initiatives and project ideas of the Center and noted the need to determine the main approaches and directions for further cooperation.
