The Center strengthens its capacity to develop national mechanisms for health system preparedness and response to SRH challenges in emergencies
On March 3, 2025, the Center's expert, Z. Yesniyazova, took part in a round table on the topic "Development of national mechanisms for the preparedness and response of the healthcare system to challenges in the field of sexual and reproductive health in humanitarian emergencies."
The round table was organized by the UNFPA Country Office in Kazakhstan, with the aim of presenting and discussing the draft national Standard of Health System Preparedness and Response to SRH Problems in Humanitarian Emergencies and a training program for improving the qualifications of doctors on issues of preparedness and response to SRH challenges in humanitarian emergencies.
The event was attended by more than 30 representatives of government agencies, non-governmental organizations and local executive bodies, under the facilitation of L.M. Kaltaeva, a member of the National Commission on Women's Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Center's expert Yesniyazova Z.S. presented the prospects and key aspects of strengthening interaction between departments in emergency situations. The block of interdepartmental interaction with the participation of the Center is also included in the draft national Standard of readiness and response of the healthcare system to problems of SRH in emergency humanitarian situations.
Following the seminar, key steps were identified for the implementation of the draft national Standard into the national healthcare system, and mechanisms for the implementation of the Curriculum into the medical education system were discussed.
