The Center Strengthens Regional Cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM)

On 21 July, a meeting was held in Astana between Mr. Nurlan Bekbossynov, Deputy Director of the Center, and representatives of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

During the meeting, Mr. Bekbossynov held discussions with Ms. Vivianne van der Vorst, Senior Regional DTM Project Manager, and Ms. Hannah Knapp, Regional Project Coordinator, on potential areas of cooperation, as well as opportunities to strengthen the capacities of specialists from the countries of Central Asia in disaster risk reduction and emergency preparedness.

The participants reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening their partnership and promoting regional cooperation aimed at enhancing the resilience of the countries of Central Asia.
