The Deputy Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Astana visited the Center

On 29 May 2024, Mr. Yuri Fenopetov, Deputy Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Astana, paid a working visit to the Center. During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the ongoing project of the Center and the OSCE to create a Digital Territorial Security Passport and an Interactive Hazard Map of Kazakhstan, as well as the prospects for further co-operation.

Mr. Serik Aubakirov, Director of the Center, presented information on the Center's regional initiatives in the field of disaster risk reduction and adaptation to climate change. Mr. Fenopetov expressed interest and recommended to inform the OSCE Headquarters in Vienna about the Center's regional initiatives and project ideas.

In general, the Deputy Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Astana expressed his intention to develop further cooperation with the Center, including in the field of introducing innovative information and communication systems in climate change adaptation and disaster risk management.
