The officers of MES of the Republic of Kazakhstan enhanced their skills on UAV application in order to ensure civil and territory safety
During the period from 5 to 8 October 2020 the Center for Emergency Situations and Disaster Risk Reduction (hereinafter - Center) within the frame of the project of Center and the United Nations Children’s Fund “UAV development in order to ensure civil and territory safety, including vulnerable groups from disasters in 2020” the training for officers of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan on UAV application, focused on disaster prevention and response has been conducted in Nur-Sultan.
The training consisted of theoretical and practical parts, as well as drills on post-flight processing of received data from UAV using relevant Software, which allows process outcomes of aerial photography either of visible spectrum, or of multispectral camera.
As a result of training is preparation of officers of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan from 7 regions for controlling unmanned aerial vehicles, drawing up high quality orthomosaics, digital terrain and relief models, attitude maps.
The trainers were qualified specialists of the Agrotechnological HUB of KazNAU, who have many years of experience in this industry: Tamenov T.B. and Abilda C
The event was held in compliance with sanitary and hygienic standards, taking into account the current situation with the coronavirus.
A similar training is scheduled in 2021 for representatives of other 7 regions of Kazakhstan.
The participants of the training expressed their gratitude to UNICEF Office in Kazakhstan, Center for Emergency Situations and Disaster Risk Reduction, Agrotechnological HUB of KazNAU for the opportunity to obtain theoretical knowledge and practical experience on the use of UAVs in the interests of preventing and eliminating natural and man-made emergencies.
