The plan for comprehensive protection of population and territories of the Kyrgyz Republic from emergency situations for 2023-2026, developed by the CESDRR experts, is approved by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic no. 1 dated 10.01.2023
From March to December 2022, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Center for Emergency Situations and DRR, with the support of UNDP and WFP in Kyrgyzstan, implemented a project to assist in the implementation of the Concept of Comprehensive protection of the population and territories of the Kyrgyz Republic from emergencies for 2018-2030.
The analysis and a comprehensive assessment of the implementation of the Action Plan activities of the first stage (2018-2022) were carried out by CESDRR in the course of project implementation.
Based on the results of a comprehensive assessment of the implementation of the Action Plan activities of the first stage (2018-2022) and relevant proposals and recommendations, a Plan for the second stage - for 2023-2026 and a detailed budget were developed.
For the monitoring the implementation of measures, a matrix of indicators for monitoring and evaluating the Action Plan for the implementation of the Concept of Comprehensive protection of the population and territory of the Kyrgyz Republic has been developed.
The draft Plan for the implementation of the Concept for protection against emergency situations for the second stage (2023-2026), taking into account the comments and proposals received from the Interdepartmental Working group, was submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of the activities of the CESDRR with the support of UNDP and WFP in Kyrgyzstan, the project was successfully completed and the Second Phase Plan(2023–2026) of the implementation of the Concept for the protection of the population and territories of the Kyrgyz Republic from emergencies for 2018–2030 was approved by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.
