The Center and the Asian Disaster Reduction Center reached an agreement on the development and strengthening of further cooperation in the field of DRR

On June 20, 2022, the Center conducted a bilateral online meeting with representatives of the Asian Disaster Reduction Center (Kobe, Japan).

During the meeting, Mr. Nakagawa Masaaki - Executive Director, was introduced to the activities of the Center, strategic directions and priorities for the current year, and results achieved over the years of the Center's existence.

Moreover, the Center’s partner, Director of «I2NIK» LLP, Mr. Uyzbaev Altair demonstrated the prototype of the regional integration of disaster monitoring system of Central Asian countries.

The Director of the Center, Mr. Dzhergalbek Ukashev proposed to establish interaction and cooperation between CESDRR and ADRC in the following areas:

• Integration of the Regional Early Warning System for disasters at the Central Asian regional level based on the experience and practices of Japan
• Implementation of innovative information and communication technologies in DRR in the Central Asian region based on the experience and practices of Japan.

During the meeting, ADRC representatives confirmed the willingness to support Center in the methodological and practical implementation of joint projects in DRR and emergency situations.

As a result, of the meeting, the parties reached a complete understanding of all issues.
