The Center is launching a project to strengthen the capacity of emergency response services in Central Asia
In September 2022, on the basis of the training ground "Rock City - Astana" (Republic of Kazakhstan, Almaty region), a master training was successfully held for canine services of emergency departments of the Central Asian countries with the involvement of experienced dog handler instructors from the State Central Airmobile Rescue Squad of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation with the financial and technical support of the ICDO, in which 36 cynological crews of the Central Asian countries took part.
The training made it possible to improve the skills of the participants, strengthen their professional skills in training service dogs for search and rescue of people, which were successfully used by the rescuers of the Central Asian countries in the search and rescue operation in Turkey.
The successful result did not go unnoticed by the ICDO, and already this year the leadership of the ICDO supported the holding of two trainings in Kazakhstan at once with the involvement of international trainers:
• master training for canine services of emergency departments of the countries of Central Asia;
• master training on the use of unmanned aircraft for emergency situations.
These trainings are scheduled to be held in May of this year on the basis of the Rock City-Astana training ground in the Almaty region (Republic of Kazakhstan) as part of the Kazspas-2023 rescue all-round competition.
The training ground "Rock City - Astana" is the only training ground in the CIS, universally adapted for all types of rescue operations. On the basis of the landfill, cynological crews, divers and climbers annually improve their skills, rescue aviation piloting skills, rescuers from the regions of the country exchange useful information, share experience and rescue technologies.
To date, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, the CoES of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan have officially confirmed the participation of their representatives in these trainings.
