The Center was visited by the First Deputy Minister of Emergency Management of the People's Republic of China
On April 23, 2023, as part of a working trip to Almaty, the Center was visited by the First Deputy Minister of Emergency Management of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Xu Jiaai, with a delegation of the Ministry of Emergency Management of the People's Republic of China, consisting of: Head of the Emergency Coordination Department, Mr. Go Jeevoo, Head of the International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Department Mr. Liu Weimin, Head of the Multilateral Cooperation Section of the International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Department Ms. Gao Kun, Deputy Head of the Multilateral Cooperation Section of the International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Department Ms. Hu Yihuai, Secretary to the Deputy Minister Mr. Jan Jane, the official representative of the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China in Almaty, Mr. Zhang Yang, and his assistant, Mr. An Weijia.
During the visit, Mr. Xu Jiaai, got acquainted with the activities of the Center, listened to a presentation on implemented and ongoing projects, as well as on the planned activities of the Center in the field of disaster risk reduction in Kazakhstan and the Central Asian region. He shared information about the activities of his Ministry and the results achieved. He noted that this year marks the tenth anniversary of China's One Belt, One Road initiative and invited employees of the Center and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan to the Forum dedicated to this event.
Mr. Xu Jiaai, stressed the importance of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and China in the field of disaster risk reduction, coordination of joint efforts aimed at creating a mechanism with the participation of Central Asian countries and China for effective and timely response to emergency situations.
