The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Center for Emergency Situations and Disaster Risk Reduction signed an agreement on the terms of its residence in the Republic of Kazakhstan

On June 17, 2022, an official signing ceremony of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Center for Emergency Situations and Disaster Risk Reduction on the terms of its residence in the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Nur-Sultan.

This Agreement will provide the necessary terms for the Center in the Republic of Kazakhstan to implement its functions and goals.

As part of the signing of the agreement, Minister for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yuriy Ilin highly appreciated the arrangements reached by the Center with the International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO) during the 7th session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (Indonesia, May 25-27, 2022) regarding the holding of training for dog handlers in Kazakhstan this year and the next training for divers of the Ministry in 2023.

In general, the parties recognize the activities of the Center that respond to the challenges of coordinating the measures taken to increase the resilience of the region to disasters.
