Visit of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies delegation

On November 15, 2022, the delegation of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, headed by the head of the regional office for Central Asia, Seval Guzelkilinc, visited the Center for Emergency Situations and Disaster Risk Reduction, the delegation also included Delegate for Humanitarian Diplomacy Ms. Joy Muller and Disaster Legislation Program Delegate Ms. Pauline Caspellan.

During the meeting, the participants got acquainted with the mission, strategic and priorities of the Center's activities, with information on the implementation of joint projects with partners in civil protection, adaptation to climate change and emergency situations in Central Asian countries. In addition, the prospects for further cooperation for 2023-2024 were discussed.

Furthermore, during the meeting, project proposals of the Center in disaster risk reduction and adaptation to climate change were presented.

The head of the regional office of the IFRC for Central Asia, Seval Guzelkilinch, positively assessed the results of the Center's activities in disaster risk reduction and expressed interest in further cooperation and implementation of joint projects.
